Product Description: 09985 Pressure Canner Sealing Ring

The 09985 pressure canner sealing ring is designed to create a secure, pressure-tight seal between the cover and the body of the pressure canner during canning and cooking. This ring features the following advantages:

Tight Seal: The sealing ring tightly fits around the inside rim of the cover, forming a strong, penetrating seal. Excellent Performance: The small gaps in the seal allow it to last and maintain a tight fit over time.

Installation Steps:

1. Remove the old sealing ring and the overpressure plug (if present).
2. Clean the sealing ring groove and the air vent opening thoroughly, ensuring they are free of any food particles or foreign material.
3. Wash the new sealing ring in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry it. Install the ring by working it into the cover a small section at a time until it is fully in place.
4. If necessary, apply a light coating of cooking oil to the underside of the body lugs and sealing ring to facilitate easier opening and closing of the cover.
5. Install the overpressure plug by pushing the round side (marked "TOP") into the opening from the underside of the cover.
6. When putting the cover on the body, press down on the area opposite the handle to help compress the sealing ring and make the cover easy to lock in place. Open and close the cover several times to ensure smooth operation.
